Illyrios of Mount Myrsinon

Venerable Illyrios the Wonderworker, ascetic of Mount Myrsinon in the Peloponnese.

Illyrios devoted himself to ascetic struggle on Mount Myrsinon in the Peloponnese, where he is remembered as a wonderworker. The dates of his life are not known.

He is one of the many hermits of Greece whose memory survives chiefly through the veneration of the local faithful.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Illyrios of Mount Myrsinon is commemorated on April 3. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on April 16 of the civil calendar.
