Juliana of Heliopolis

Holy Martyr Juliana, who suffered together with Saint Barbara.

The holy martyr Juliana was a Christian woman of Heliopolis who witnessed the sufferings of the great martyr Barbara. Moved by her courage, she openly confessed Christ and was seized and tormented together with her, and the two were beheaded on the same day.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Juliana of Heliopolis is commemorated on December 4. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on December 17 of the civil calendar.
