Trophimos and Thallos

Holy Martyrs Trophimos and Thallos of Laodicea.

Sts. Trophimos and Thallos were brothers from Stratonikeia in Caria who suffered at Laodicea under the emperor Diocletian. Tradition relates that they were tortured and stoned, and at last crucified, and that they preached Christ from the cross until their death.

The Church keeps their memory on March 11.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Trophimos and Thallos is commemorated on March 11. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on March 24 of the civil calendar.
