Holy Martyr Zoticus the Priest, keeper of orphans and lepers in Constantinople.
The holy martyr Zoticus was a priest of Constantinople in the fourth century who used his wealth and the emperor's gifts to build a home for orphans and for lepers, whom he cared for with his own hands. Tradition relates that the emperor Constantius, angered at his charity, had him dragged to death behind mules.

On the New Calendar, Zoticus the Orphan-keeper is commemorated on December 31. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on January 13 of the civil calendar.
