Kastor the Ascetic

Venerable Kastor, who reposed in peace.

Saint Kastor was an ascetic who lived in prayer and stillness and reposed in peace.

Little more is preserved of his life.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Kastor the Ascetic is commemorated on August 12. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on August 25 of the civil calendar.
