Tithoes the Ascetic

Venerable Tithoes, ascetic of Egypt.

Saint Tithoes was one of the desert fathers of Egypt, a disciple of Saint Pachomios, remembered for his prayer and humility.

He reposed in peace.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Tithoes the Ascetic is commemorated on August 26. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on September 8 of the civil calendar.
