  Adrian and Natalia

  Martyr, Αδριανός και Ναταλία

  Sts. Adrian and Natalia were a married couple of Nicomedia in the time of the persecution of Maximian, at the beginning of the fourth century. Adrian, an imperial official, was so moved by the courage of imprisoned Christians that he confessed Christ and was enrolled among them; his young wife Natalia, secretly a Christian, strengthened him in prison and stood by him through his tortures and martyrdom.

• Joasaph of India

  Venerable, Ιωάσαφ

  According to the celebrated tale of Barlaam and Joasaph, Joasaph was a prince of India whose father sought to shield him from all knowledge of suffering and faith. Instructed by the hermit Barlaam, he embraced Christ, later converted his father and finally left his throne for the desert.

  Saint Tithoes was one of the desert fathers of Egypt, a disciple of Saint Pachomios, remembered for his prayer and humility.

• Maria of Diveyevo

  Holy Woman, Μαρία του Ντιβέεβο

  Blessed Maria lived at the Diveyevo convent in Russia as a fool-for-Christ in the early twentieth century, continuing the line of blessed women of that community. She was known for her gift of foresight and endured the persecutions after the Revolution.
