Holy Apostles of the Seventy Jason and Sosipater.
The holy Apostles Jason and Sosipater were of the Seventy, kinsmen and fellow laborers of the Apostle Paul, who greets them in his Epistle to the Romans. According to tradition they carried the Gospel to the island of Kerkyra, where they preached, endured imprisonment, and converted many to Christ, including members of the ruling house.
They are honored as the founders and enlighteners of the Church of Corfu, where their veneration has continued unbroken since ancient times. They are commemorated together on April 28.
