Saint Athanasios Patellarios, Patriarch of Constantinople, wonderworker of Lubny.
Saint Athanasios was born in Crete and twice served briefly as Patriarch of Constantinople in the seventeenth century. Travelling in Russia to seek help for the Church, he reposed at Lubny in Ukraine in 1654.
His relics were found incorrupt, seated in a chair as he had been buried, and he is venerated in both Greece and Russia.

On the New Calendar, Athanasios Patellarios is commemorated on August 21. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on September 3 of the civil calendar.
