Auxentios of Cyprus

Venerable Auxentios, monk and ascetic of Cyprus.

St. Auxentios was one of the company of monks who, according to Cypriot tradition, came to the island from Palestine and lived as hermits in its mountains and caves. He is venerated in the region of Karpasia, where a church keeps his memory.

He is commemorated on September 28.
