Gobdelaas, Dadas, Kasdoos and Kasdoa

Holy Martyrs Dadas, Gobdelaas, Kasdoos and Kasdoa of Persia.

St. Dadas was a kinsman of the Persian king Shapur and governor of a province who was found to be a Christian and handed over to torture. Tradition relates that the king's own son Gobdelaas, sent to preside at the trial, was converted by the miracles he witnessed, as was his sister Kasdoa, and that they suffered with Dadas and Kasdoos.

They are commemorated on September 29.

On the New Calendar, Gobdelaas, Dadas, Kasdoos and Kasdoa is commemorated on September 29. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on October 12 of the civil calendar.
