Holy Martyr Irenarchos and the seven women martyrs of Sebaste.
Saint Irenarchos was an executioner at Sebaste in Armenia during the persecution of Diocletian. Seeing the courage of seven Christian women under torture, he believed in Christ and confessed openly.
He was tortured and beheaded together with the women and the priest Acacius who had baptized him.
Feast day
On the New Calendar, Irenarchos and the Seven Women is commemorated on November 28. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on December 11 of the civil calendar.
