Sophronios, Archbishop of Cyprus.
Sophronios was born in Cyprus and, after a life of piety and learning, was made Archbishop of the island. The Synaxarion records that he shepherded his flock with wisdom and reposed in peace.

On the New Calendar, Sophronios of Cyprus is commemorated on December 8. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on December 21 of the civil calendar.
