Holy Martyr Thalleleos the Unmercenary physician of Aegae, beheaded under Numerian.
Thalleleos was a young physician from Lebanon who treated the sick without payment and led many to Christ. Arrested at Aegae in Cilicia under the Emperor Numerian, he was subjected to tortures which, tradition relates, turned back upon his tormentors.
He was beheaded around 284, and his companions Asterios and Alexander, converted by his witness, suffered with him. He is numbered among the Holy Unmercenaries.
