Translation of the relics of Venerable Lazarus the Stylite of Mount Galesion.
This day commemorates the translation of the relics of St. Lazarus of Mount Galesion, the eleventh-century stylite who lived near Ephesus and founded monasteries on the mountain. Educated at the Lavra of St. Savva in Palestine, he was known for asceticism and wonderworking.
His main feast is kept on November 7.
