Venerable Zosimas the hermit of Cilicia, who lived at peace with the wild beasts.
St. Zosimas was a hermit of Cilicia in the fourth century who lived in the wilderness in such purity that, tradition relates, the wild beasts came to him without fear. Found by a hunting party of the governor and brought before him, he confessed Christ and endured torments.
He is commemorated on September 19.
