Aboudimos of Tenedos

Holy Martyr Aboudimos of the island of Tenedos.

St. Aboudimos was a Christian of the island of Tenedos who refused to sacrifice to idols during the persecution of Diocletian. Brought before the governor, he confessed Christ boldly.

He was tortured and beheaded for his faith.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Aboudimos of Tenedos is commemorated on July 15. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on July 28 of the civil calendar.
