Finding of the precious head of Venerable Matrona of Chios.

This day commemorates the finding of the head of St. Matrona of Chios, the fifteenth-century ascetic who founded a convent on the island and is honored as one of its patrons.

Her main feast is kept on October 20; the relic is venerated in Chios.
