St. Agapitos the Confessor and Wonderworker, Bishop of Synnada in Phrygia.
St. Agapitos was born in Cappadocia and became a monk in his youth, famed for his asceticism and his miracles. Forced into military service under Licinius, he was wounded for his faith, then released and ordained; the Emperor Constantine later made him Bishop of Synnada.
He shepherded his flock with love, healing the sick by his prayers, and reposed in peace in the fourth century.

On the New Calendar, Agapitos of Synnada is commemorated on February 18. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on March 3 (a day earlier in leap years) of the civil calendar.
