Holy Prophet Ahijah the Shilonite, who foretold the division of the kingdom of Israel.
The Prophet Ahijah of Shiloh lived in the days of King Solomon and his son Rehoboam. As recorded in the Books of Kings, he foretold to Jeroboam that he would rule over ten tribes of Israel, and later prophesied the downfall of Jeroboam's house for its idolatry.
He reposed in peace.
Feast day
On the New Calendar, Ahijah the Prophet is commemorated on November 12. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on November 25 of the civil calendar.
