Holy New Martyr Anastasios of Paramythia in Epirus, martyred in 1750.
Saint Anastasios was a young man of Paramythia in Epirus. Tradition relates that when he defended his sister from an Ottoman official, he was arrested and pressed to convert to Islam.
He refused steadfastly and was beheaded in 1750. His memory is kept in Epirus.
