Anastasios the Fuller

Holy Martyr Anastasios the Fuller of Salona in Dalmatia.

Anastasios was a cloth-fuller from Aquileia who settled at Salona in Dalmatia and painted a cross over the door of his workshop. Denounced as a Christian in the persecution of Diocletian, he confessed Christ boldly.

He was drowned in the sea with a stone around his neck, and his body was recovered by a pious woman and buried with honor.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Anastasios the Fuller is commemorated on October 25. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on November 7 of the civil calendar.
