Anthony of Meteora

Venerable Anthony Kantakouzenos of Meteora.

St. Anthony of Meteora, of the Kantakouzenos family according to tradition, was a monk of the Meteora in Thessaly in the fifteenth century, associated with the monastery of St. Stephen. He lived in asceticism on the rocks and reposed in peace.

He is commemorated on January 17.
