Venerable Anthousa of Seleucia, with the Hieromartyr Athanasios who baptized her and her servants Charisimos and Neophytos.
Saint Anthousa was the daughter of pagan parents in Seleucia of Syria who sought out the bishop Athanasios and was baptized by him. She lived thereafter as an ascetic in the wilderness for many years, while Athanasios and her two servants Charisimos and Neophytos were martyred under Valerian.
She reposed in peace and is the patron of those who bear her name.
