  St. Phokas served as bishop of Sinope on the Black Sea in the early centuries of the Church, shepherding his flock with holiness during the age of persecutions. Remaining faithful to Christ, he was put to death for his confession and is honored as a hieromartyr.

• Agathonikos of Nicomedia

  St. Agathonikos was a Christian of noble birth in Nicomedia who lived in the time of the Emperor Maximian. Zealous for the faith, he brought many pagans to Christ, for which he was seized by the governor, tortured, and taken in chains along the road toward Byzantium together with other confessors.
