Holy Martyrs Aristocles the priest, Demetrian the deacon and Athanasius the reader, beheaded at Salamis in Cyprus.
Saint Aristocles was a priest of Tamassos in Cyprus who, tradition relates, was called by a heavenly voice to go to Salamis and confess Christ. He was joined by the deacon Demetrian and the reader Athanasius. All three were arrested and beheaded there in the early fourth century, under Maximian.
