Venerable Cuthbert, Bishop of Lindisfarne, wonderworker of Britain.
St. Cuthbert was a monk of Melrose and later prior and bishop of Lindisfarne in Northumbria in the seventh century. He traveled tirelessly to preach in remote villages, lived for years as a hermit on the island of Farne, and was known for his gentleness, his love of animals, and his miracles.
He reposed in 687, and his body was found incorrupt years later; his relics rest in Durham. He is one of the most beloved saints of England, and his memory is kept on March 20.

On the New Calendar, Cuthbert of Lindisfarne is commemorated on March 20. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on April 2 of the civil calendar.
