Holy New Martyr Myron of Heraklion in Crete.
St. Myron was a young tailor of Heraklion in Crete who lived under Ottoman rule. Tradition relates that he was falsely accused by Turks of having promised to accept Islam, and when he refused to do so he was imprisoned, tortured and hanged in 1793.
He is numbered among the New Martyrs of Crete, and his memory is kept on March 20.

On the New Calendar, Myron of Crete is commemorated on March 20. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on April 2 of the civil calendar.
