The holy martyrs Diomedes, Julian, Philip, Eutychian, Hesychius, Leonides, Eutychius, Philadelphus, Melanippus and the holy woman Parthagape suffered together for Christ in the time of the pagan persecutions. Tradition relates that they were put to death by various torments, some by fire and some by the sword, refusing to the end to deny the faith.
They are commemorated together on September 2.
