St. Kosmas the Hermit is listed in the Greek Synaxarion on September 2 as an ascetic and confessor of the faith. Tradition relates that he lived in solitude and prayer and suffered for his confession of Orthodoxy, reposing in peace.
His memory is kept on September 2.
