Dioskoros the New

New Martyr Dioskoros, who suffered at Smyrna.

Dioskoros was a Christian who confessed his faith before the Turkish authorities and, refusing to convert, was put to death, tradition placing his martyrdom at Smyrna. Few details of his life are preserved.

He is commemorated on May 11.
