Holy Martyrs Domnina and her daughters Bernike and Prosdoke of Antioch.
Domnina, a Christian noblewoman of Antioch, fled with her two daughters to Edessa during the persecution of Diocletian. Her pagan husband pursued them with soldiers and seized them on the road.
Fearing dishonor at the hands of the soldiers, mother and daughters chose to give themselves to the waters of a river rather than lose their purity, and the Church honors them as martyrs. Saint John Chrysostom preached a homily in their praise.
