Elpidios, Marcellus and Eustochios

Holy Martyrs Elpidios, Marcellus and Eustochios, who suffered under Julian the Apostate.

Saint Elpidios was a senator who confessed Christ before Julian the Apostate and was condemned with his companions Marcellus and Eustochios. Tradition relates that they were tortured and finally burned.

They are commemorated together as martyrs of the fourth century.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Elpidios, Marcellus and Eustochios is commemorated on November 15. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on November 28 of the civil calendar.
