Venerable Eusebios, hermit of Syria.
St. Eusebios lived on a mountainside in Syria in the fourth century, exposed to heat and cold, clothed in skins and eating almost nothing. Theodoret of Cyrrhus, who describes his life, marvelled at his endurance.
He reposed in peace at a great age, an example of the extreme asceticism of the Syrian desert.
