Holy New Martyrs Gabriel and Kyrmidoles, who suffered in Egypt in 1522.
Gabriel and Kyrmidoles were Christians of Egypt who were falsely accused before the Muslim authorities of Cairo and pressed to accept Islam.
Refusing to deny Christ, they were beheaded in 1522 and are honored among the New Martyrs.

On the New Calendar, Gabriel and Kyrmidoles is commemorated on October 18. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on October 31 of the civil calendar.
