St. Gerasimos Palladas, Patriarch of Alexandria.
St. Gerasimos Palladas was born in Crete in the seventeenth century and, after serving as Metropolitan of Kastoria and Adrianople, became Patriarch of Alexandria in 1688. Resigning the throne, he retired to Mount Athos, where he reposed in 1714 at the Vatopedi Monastery.
His relics are kept at Vatopedi. He is commemorated on January 15.

On the New Calendar, Gerasimos Palladas is commemorated on January 15. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on January 28 of the civil calendar.
