Saint Innocent, Archbishop of Kherson, preacher and defender of Odessa.
Innocent Borisov was born in 1800 and became one of the most celebrated preachers and theologians of the Russian Church, teaching at Kiev and serving as Archbishop of Kherson and Taurida. During the Crimean War he ministered fearlessly in besieged Sevastopol and Odessa.
He reposed in 1857 and was glorified in 1997.
