John of Jerusalem

Saint John, Patriarch of Jerusalem.

St. John was Patriarch of Jerusalem in the early centuries of the Church, remembered in the Greek synaxaria as a holy hierarch who governed the Mother of Churches with wisdom and reposed in peace.

His memory is kept on March 30.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, John of Jerusalem is commemorated on March 30. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on April 12 of the civil calendar.
