Holy Martyrs Juventinus and Maximus, soldiers of Antioch under Julian the Apostate.
Juventinus and Maximus were bodyguards of the emperor Julian the Apostate at Antioch. When Julian ordered that the food and water of the city be sprinkled with blood from idol sacrifices, they openly lamented the profanation.
Denounced to the emperor, they refused to recant and were beheaded in 363. Saint John Chrysostom preached in their honor.

On the New Calendar, Juventinus and Maximus is commemorated on October 12. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on October 25 of the civil calendar.
