  Martyr, Πρόβος

  Saints Probus and Tarachos, together with Andronicus, were Christians of Cilicia who suffered during the persecution under Diocletian at the beginning of the fourth century. Differing in age and station, they were united in their confession; brought repeatedly before the judges, they endured prolonged tortures with astonishing endurance and were finally put to death for Christ.

• Symeon the New Theologian

  Venerable, Συμεών ο Νέος Θεολόγος

  Symeon was born in Paphlagonia around 949 and raised in Constantinople, where as a young man he became the disciple of Symeon the Pious of the Studion. He was made abbot of the monastery of Saint Mamas, which he restored in life and discipline.

• Domnina of Anazarbus

  Holy Woman, Δομνίνη

  Domnina was a Christian of Anazarbus who was brought before the governor Lysias during the persecution of Diocletian. She confessed Christ and was scourged, her feet were burned, and she was cast into prison.

• Anastasia the Virgin

  Holy Woman, Αναστασία η Παρθένος

  Anastasia was a Roman maiden who lived in a community of virgins and was denounced as a Christian in the persecution of Decius. She endured many torments, refusing to deny Christ.

• Juventinus and Maximus

  Martyr, Ιουβεντίνος και Μάξιμος

  Juventinus and Maximus were bodyguards of the emperor Julian the Apostate at Antioch. When Julian ordered that the food and water of the city be sprinkled with blood from idol sacrifices, they openly lamented the profanation.

• Jason of Damascus

  Hierarch, Ιάσων επίσκοπος Δαμασκού

  Jason is commemorated in the Synaxarion as a Bishop of Damascus who shepherded his flock in holiness and reposed in peace. The details of his life are not preserved.
