Righteous Kaisarios, physician, brother of Saint Gregory the Theologian.
St. Kaisarios was the younger brother of St. Gregory the Theologian, born in Cappadocia in the fourth century. Educated in Alexandria, he became a distinguished physician and served at the imperial court in Constantinople, keeping his Christian faith even under Julian the Apostate.
He survived a great earthquake at Nicaea and, moved by this deliverance, devoted himself wholly to God, but reposed soon after. St. Gregory delivered his funeral oration. The Church keeps his memory on March 9.
