Venerable Vitalios of Castronovo in Sicily.
St. Vitalios was born in Castronovo in Sicily in the tenth century and became a monk of the Greek monastery of St. Philip at Agira. He later lived as a hermit in various places in Sicily and Calabria, gathering disciples and founding monasteries, and was known for his miracles and his care for the poor.
He reposed in peace around the end of the tenth century, and his memory is kept on March 9.
