Holy Martyr Kodratos (Quadratus) and those with him, who suffered at Nicomedia under Decius.
Kodratos was a Christian of Nicomedia who, during the persecution of Decius, openly encouraged the imprisoned believers and confessed his own faith before the governor. He was tortured in several cities of Asia Minor and finally beheaded.
Tradition relates that many who saw his endurance believed and suffered with him.
Feast day
On the New Calendar, Kodratos and Companions is commemorated on May 7. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on May 20 of the civil calendar.
