Kopris of Palestine

Venerable Kopris of the monastery of St. Theodosios in Palestine.

St. Kopris was found as a newborn on a dung-heap, from which he took his name, during a raid on the monastery of St. Theodosios in Palestine, and was raised by the monks. He lived there in humility his whole life and reposed in peace in old age.

He is commemorated on September 24.
