Kournoutos of Iconium

Hieromartyr Kournoutos, bishop of Iconium.

St. Kournoutos was bishop of Iconium in Asia Minor who suffered during the persecutions of the third century under the governor Perennius. Refusing to deny Christ, he was tortured and beheaded.

He is commemorated on September 12.
