Lampados of Irenopolis

Venerable Lampados the Wonderworker of Irenopolis.

St. Lampados was an ascetic of Irenopolis in Isauria, distinguished for wisdom, gentleness and humility. Tradition relates that he lived in a cave in strict asceticism and was granted the gift of working miracles.

He reposed in peace and is honored as a wonderworker.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Lampados of Irenopolis is commemorated on July 5. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on July 18 of the civil calendar.
