Manatho the Virgin

Holy Virgin Martyr Manatho of Scythopolis, burned at Caesarea.

Manatho was a virgin of Scythopolis in Palestine who confessed Christ before the governor Firmilian at Caesarea. After scourging she was burned to death together with the martyrs Zebinas, Germanos, Nikephoros and Antoninos around 308.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Manatho the Virgin is commemorated on October 20. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on November 2 of the civil calendar.
