New Martyr Panagiotis of Caesarea in Cappadocia, beheaded in Constantinople in 1765.
Saint Panagiotis was born in Caesarea of Cappadocia and worked as a young man in Constantinople. Tradition relates that he was falsely accused of insulting the Muslim faith and, refusing to save his life by conversion, confessed Christ boldly and was beheaded in 1765.
