Holy Martyrs Paramon and Philumenus.
The holy martyrs Paramon and Philomenus suffered for Christ in the third century, during the Roman persecutions. Tradition relates that Paramon, seeing a multitude of Christians being tortured for refusing to sacrifice to idols, openly confessed Christ and was put to death with them; Philomenus likewise sealed his confession with his blood.
The synaxaria preserve little beyond their faithful witness, which the Church holds in honor among the martyrs of that age. They are commemorated on November 29.

On the New Calendar, Paramon and Philomenus is commemorated on November 29. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on December 12 of the civil calendar.
