Hieromartyrs Peleus and Nilus, bishops of Egypt, with Patermouthios, Elias and 156 martyrs of Palestine.

The bishops Peleus and Nilus, the priest Zeno and the noblemen Patermouthios and Elias led a great company of Egyptian and Palestinian Christians who, condemned to the mines of Palestine in the persecution of the early fourth century, were at last put to death by fire and the sword.

They are commemorated on September 17.
